For over 100 years, Brantwood Community Services has been providing supports and services to transitional age youth and adults with developmental disabilities throughout Brantford-Brant through The Abilities Centre Community Hub, thirteen (15) Residential locations, Supported Independent Living, Respite and Community Connections.

Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, Brantwood once operating as a place supporting children with disabilities with 24 hours support, to supporting those same children when they became adults.

In the late 90’s, Brantwood sold land at the 25 Bell Lane location to invest in community based options including apartments, intensive behaviour supports and homes.

Primarily funded through the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, we are proud to work alongside our community partners and collaborate on services that support inclusion, choice and opportunities for people to belong in their community.

Our vision continues to focus on providing the right supports at the right time so that our community benefits from the contributions and diversity in culture, life experience and abilities.
